To date, the United States has over 2.5 million reported COVID-19 cases and more than 128,000 deaths. Regrettably, these startling numbers do not seem to be slowing down as states like California, Florida, and Texas have seen a surge in COVID-19 cases given their reopening plans.
The impact of COVID-19 in America is undeniable; what is also undeniable is the fact that COVID-19 has amplified – not introduced – many systemic inequalities hindering Black and Brown communities, youths, and families from having a fair shot at success.
