Local workforce professionals are on the frontlines of a looming youth employment crisis. Millions of young Americans, cursed with poor timing, face the daunting challenge of carving out career paths and livelihoods in uncertain circumstances. The young people who will be hit hardest are the 4.6 million opportunity youth, those aged 16 to 24 who are disconnected from education or work.
